The Department of Nephrology at the Korea Cancer Center Hospital specializes in the treatment of micturition disorder (hematuria, proteinuria, etc.), edema, diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephrosclerosis, and other renal diseases such as chronic nephropathy and acute renal failure. It also administers renal replacement therapy (hemodialysis) for end-stage kidney failure.
Hemodialysis Center
Equipped with 15 dialyzers, the Hemodialysis Center at the Korea Cancer Center Hospital is operated by nephrologists and nurse practitioners. Since 2009 when the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service started the hemodialysis appropriateness assessment, the Hemodialysis Center has maintained the top grade; it has been providing optimized hemodialysis treatment to individual patients.
