CyberKnife

The CyberKnife Center at the Korea Cancer Center Hospital is the first organization in Korea to implement the CyberKnife treatment method. The center achieved 3,000 clinical treatment cases in 2014. Since February 2013, the hospital has been operating the latest units of CyberKnife Unit No. 2 ver 9.5.

The hospital has managed to achieve the world's first body tumor treatments such as liver cancer, lung cancer and pancreatic cancer and is continuing to submit numerous articles of brain tumor, and spine/spinal cord tumor to renowned international journals (SCI) achieving high academic performance and world-class treatment capabilities.

The center is operating an International Education Center to contribute to the spread of CyberKnife utilized radiosurgery in countries including China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and more. Through such efforts, the center has treated patients from 12 different countries in the past decade.

The CyberKnife Center of the Korea Cancer Center Hospital will help patients to escape from the fear of cancer with its cancer surgery know-how and the latest equipment.

    It is a surgical method that utilizes radiation instead of a surgical scalpel. Advanced robotic arm shoots out hundreds of thin radiation rays to a tumor from various directions to destroy the tumor cell. It is the latest advancedtechnology treatment method which minimizes damage to normal tissues while maximizing cancer treatment.
